Studies in Hesse found access is often difficult for families and a care gap for children who need home palliative care that is less intensive. Siblings aged 11 to 17 in a large home care program reported lower quality of life than national norms.719,720,721

Caregivers of children with blood cancers receiving specialist palliative care in Karachi valued its holistic approach and better communication.556,557,558
