Independence and funding
Values in Care is self-funded by founder Saeb A. Ahsan. There is no industry money today. If support is accepted later, it must not buy editorial control or reduce public access.
Values in Care is an independent research and educational project serving patients, families, caregivers, clinicians, chaplains, and other care partners. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, reviewed by, or representing any employer, health system, payer, religious institution, interfaith body, or other organization unless a specific relationship is explicitly documented.
Possible future support
Narrow, unrestricted support only
- Unrestricted IME or public-good grants for modules already on the public coverage map
- Paid workshops that train industry clinicians off-site
- Commercial-use dataset licenses that do not move public pages behind a paywall
Hard boundaries
Support we will refuse
- Branded or product-named pages
- Exclusive condition or tradition sponsorship
- Funder review or approval of claims
- User or traffic data
- Field-force leave-behinds that look like Values in Care pages
- Payments tied to impressions or engagements
The editorial lock
The founder and editors control claims, sources, examples, order, and limitations. A funder may be named only on this page or in a credits line—never inside a tradition guide.
Support is non-exclusive. We prefer multiple funders rather than dependence on one company. Single-company support expires after 12 months unless a second funder or foundation match appears.
If a funder markets a supported page, the module can be unpublished or its credit line stripped.

Values in Care is educational only. It does not collect protected health information or infer identity from a person's tradition, diagnosis, or other attributes.
