Values in Care

    Review our work

Help people say what matters in their care.

Values in Care helps patients and families put what matters into their own words before a medical decision. Nothing is inferred from a person's faith, culture, or diagnosis. Independent expert review is not yet complete, so the first reviewers decide what gets checked first.

    Why review

    • Your name on the work. With your consent, you're credited on each page you review.
    • Your expertise, your scope. Palliative care, chaplaincy, ethics, nursing, social work, lived experience. Choose what you know, and set the pace.
    • Every fix is public. Each change is logged in the corrections log.

    Who we're looking for

    • Palliative care and hospice clinicians
    • Primary care clinicians
    • Nurses
    • Social workers
    • Chaplains and spiritual care providers
    • Clinical ethicists
    • Health communication and shared decision-making researchers
    • Patients and caregivers

Reviewers from diverse cultural and faith backgrounds are especially welcome, because what matters in care differs across communities.

    What reviewing involves

    • You choose the specific pages or datasets to review.
    • You flag errors, missing context, or unfair framing.
    • We fix what you find and log every change publicly.

    See the corrections log.

    Our review standard

    1. Scoped review through appropriate professional channels.
    2. Named credit only with the reviewer's explicit consent.
    3. A public corrections record.

    Independence

Reviewers assess accuracy. Credit does not imply endorsement by the reviewer or their institution. Values in Care remains independently maintained. See Independence & Funding.
